For those who have been reading my blog lately (within the past year i've been gone!) I am happy to give you a new review!
This review is on the Revlon Kissable Balm Stains.
Here is a picture of one in the shade I own (I didn't take the picture)

As you can see its a very bright magenty hot pink color. This is the color sweetheart (hence the adorable sweet tarts in the background.) The basis of the products is to come off on your lips in a balm and then after the balm wears off the stain will remain.
I think the idea is really great especially since most lip stains are very drying!
Here's a pro/con list I created based off of MY product.
Pro
- Very smooth
- Intense pigmentation
- Twist bottom (no need for sharpening)
- Long lasting color
Con
- Too pigmented (hard to work with for a subtle look)
- Small amount of product
- High price ($8 where I live, pushing the boundaries of drugstore prices I think)
- Knockoff?
The last point I made on the con list is that it could possibly be a knockoff. What leads me to think this is that for a much longer time the Clinique chubby sticks have been around in very very similar packaging posing to have the same affects on your lips. Although this could make the Kissable Balm Stain appear to be a knockoff, I do think that for someone looking for a drugstore alternative to the Chubby Sticks would enjoy this product.
Overall I do think the product is nice, but you have to be careful with color selection!
Not that I regret my choice in color, its just unwearable except for when you want a bright lip.
My friend also had a similar problem with the color selection too, (she has a light skin tone, blue eyes, and dirty blonde hair) she picked out the color charm (known on Youtube to be an excellent color for nude lips)
but she said that it looked "straight up orange" on her lips.
This is where I think the Clinique Chubby Sticks are a better deal, because you can try them on at the counter therefore not risking purchasing a bad color.
So again overall the product feels and lasts amazzzzinnngggly but there are some cons to the price, color selection (not lack of selection just difficult to select color), and amount of product it contains.
Now I wrote this all out pretty fast so if you have any comments or questions just comment them below:)
